Mechatronics Engineering Assistant supports the design, development, testing, and maintenance of mechatronic systems that integrate mechanical, electronic, and software components. They assist engineers in assembling and programming automated systems, configuring industrial controls such as PLCs and SCADA, conducting system testing, troubleshooting technical issues, and improving operational efficiency, spanning research, prototype development, and on-site support to ensure machines and automated processes operate safely and consistently.
Tasks
Assist in programming, configuring, calibrating, and testing Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), Human-Machine Interfaces (HMIs), and industrial control systems.
Support the integration of Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and automation systems, and assist in commissioning activities.
Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of electromechanical and automated machinery.
Prepare and update technical documentation, including reports, schematic diagrams, and records of system changes.
Work with engineers and production teams to support process improvements and system enhancements.
Assist in conducting equipment testing, quality checks, and validation of system performance.
Support monitoring of mechanical and automation plant operations and assist in maintenance activities.

Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.

Competency in Human-Machine Interface (HMI) and Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) systems, including sensors and actuators.
Knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including maintenance, repair, and operation of equipment.
Knowledge of microcontrollers and embedded systems for control applications.
Knowledge of robotic systems and basic automation technologies.
Knowledge of safety regulations and industry-standard practices in automation and manufacturing.
Proficiency in Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) programming and industrial control logic.
