They assist engineers in testing, troubleshooting and improving electrical and automation systems, prepare technical drawings and reports, and conduct inspections to ensure compliance with safety and technical standards. Tasks
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electrical machinery, equipment, and control systems.
Install, assemble, test, and maintain electrical wiring, panels, transformers, and related apparatus.
Conduct inspections, routine maintenance, and performance tests to ensure compliance with Malaysian standards and safety regulations.
Read, interpret, and apply electrical and electronic schematics, circuit diagrams, technical manuals, and blueprints.
Program, integrate, and maintain Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and other automated control systems.
Assist in preparing electrical layouts, drawings, and technical documentation based on specifications provided by engineers.
Monitor system performance and maintain accurate maintenance, testing, and production records.
Support installation, commissioning, and modification projects in collaboration with engineers and technicians.
Ensure workplace safety and adherence to Occupational Safety and Health (OSH) and regulatory requirements.

Ability to read, interpret, and follow technical drawings, schematics, and blueprints.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills for diagnosing and resolving issues.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Manual dexterity and proficiency in using electrical tools, instruments, and basic computer/CAD applications.
Strong understanding of electrical and electronic principles.

Ability to read, interpret, and apply electrical drawings, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Competency in Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) and Human-Machine Interface (HMI) software and industrial communication protocols for automation systems.
Familiarity with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), industrial automation systems, and basic PLC programming.
Hands-on experience with electrical testing instruments such as multimeters, insulation testers, oscilloscopes, and clamp meters.
Knowledge of Malaysian electrical standards, wiring regulations, and safety codes.
Proficiency in troubleshooting, repairing, and maintaining electrical control panels, motor drives, and wiring systems.
Skills in measuring, quality inspection, and use of precision instruments.
Understanding of power distribution systems, protective devices, grounding, and preventive maintenance practices.
