Assistant Quantity Surveyor Grade JA5 responsible for managing the execution of material measurement scope of work related to contract administration, including preparing initial cost estimates, performing quantity taking-off, preparing tender and contract documents, issuing interim payment certificates, preparing work variation orders, certifying accounts and final payments, updating relevant certificates and approvals, and performing other duties as directed from time to time.
Tasks
Coordinating the preparation of initial estimates, Preliminary Detailed Abstract (PDA), Bills of Quantities (BQ), tender documents, and quotations.
Coordinating pre- and post-contract administration, assesses work progress, prepares payment certificates, tender documents, Work Variation Orders (VO)/Contract Price Adjustments, final accounts, and as completed detailed abstracts.
Coordinating technical audits of project certificates and documents.
Updating and maintaining standard forms, BQs, progress reports, tender costs, payment certificates, price indices, and contractor profiles.
Monitoring consultant services and reviewing claims for quantity surveying consultant payments.

Basic
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to provide professional opinions, offer advisory services, and present arguments effectively.
Specific
Ability in legal matters as well as general financial and administrative regulations.
Ability to produce high-quality reports.
Computer skills.
