Civil Engineering Supervisor supervises and coordinates on-site civil engineering works to ensure that construction activities comply with approved designs, technical specifications, safety standards and project schedules. They monitor progress, conduct inspections, resolve technical and operational issues, and manage site teams while liaising with engineers, contractors and project management personnel. The role supports quality control, regulatory compliance and efficient use of resources in civil infrastructure projects such as bridges, highways and airports.

Tasks

Supervise daily construction activities on civil engineering sites.

Ensure materials and workmanship meet project standards.

Monitor compliance with safety and environmental regulations.

Manage labour force and subcontractors.

Coordinate with design engineers, architects, and clients.

Conduct site inspections and quality checks.

Report project progress and issues to project managers.

Handle documentation such as permits, reports, and records.

Resolve technical issues on site in accordance with project specifications and timelines.
