Security Officer Grade KP9
Security Officer Grade KP9 responsible for advising, monitoring, and enforcing laws, regulations and directives on safety protection to government agencies and important targets as well as restricted areas and places prohibition including the relevant private sector to maintain and enhance the level of physical, document, personal, security ICT protection with the aim of protecting official assets and secrets from various forms of security threats.
Tasks
Implementing security controls under the Official Secrets Act 1972 and the Kawasan Larangan/Tempat Larangan 1959; plans, coordinates, executes, advises, monitors, and enforces the protection of premises, documents, and personal security.
Formulating and coordinating the Security Protection Policy and official information, investigating security breaches, providing technical advice, assessing vulnerabilities, and recommending corrective actions.
Developing personnel security and screening policies, investigating violations, trains and educates public servants, and administering examinations for Officers, Assistants, and Security Guards.
Coordinating security policies and equipment, managing security passes and departmental identity cards, authority cards, and appointment cards, providing technical advice on the selection of security companies, managing restricted areas and critical targets, and investigates physical security breaches.
Developing ICT security policies, coordinating awareness programmes, managing public sector ICT research, inspecting information centres, and investigating ICT security breaches.
Formulating and implementing policies, providing training and advisory services, planning Tim Naziran programmes, investigating security violations, and recommending actions.
