Economic Affairs Officer Grade E9 dan E10
Economic Affairs Officer Grade E9 dan E10 responsible for carrying out the planning of development and management of the agency’s human resources. Oversees allocated funds, administers the agency/branch, and represents the agency in industry-related committees/organisations at the state/national levels. Ensures that government regulations related to services, procurement, staffing, facilities, and others are implemented and complied with. Prepares agency performance reports for Board Members and relevant stakeholders. In addition, is responsible for planning and conducting periodic/special inspections/investigations on companies/company officers, receiving complaints, and taking action on complaints received.
Tasks
Planning and implementing the development of marketing, commercialisation, forest plantations, the timber industry, cooperatives, and EKS through strategic cooperation, market studies, and government project modules.
Overseeing the management of operations, finance, expenditure, procurement, regulatory enforcement, policies, licensing, and marketing in accordance with Acts and government circulars.
Monitoring project implementation, prepares performance reports, financial analyses, business progress status, and performance measurement.
Developing standards, technologies, Quality Assurance Schemes (QAS), technology transfer, and technical inputs for the timber industry at the national, regional, and international levels.
Coordinating training, competency development, knowledge transfer, cooperative education, EKS, exporters, and human capital development.
Managing external trade development, encompassing export promotion, trade advisory services, market analysis, business strategies, and branding.
Coordinating Development Grants and promotional initiatives, such as the Brand Promotion Grant (BPG), Market Development Grant (MDG), EKS programmes, new exporter development, and exporter skills development.
Managing corporate relations, departmental image, media, trade exhibitions, international networking, and trade promotion.
Implementing general administration, including office management, buildings, assets, inventory, logistics, human resources, and ICT systems.
Providing policy inputs, strategic reports, sectoral analyses, and supports governance, regulation, and organisational performance monitoring.
Skills
Basic
Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in Bahasa Melayu and English.
Ability to provide professional opinions, offer advisory services, and present arguments effectively.
Specific
Ability in legal matters, financial regulations, general administration, and organisational management.
Ability to analyse economic and statistical reports.
Ability to produce high-quality reports.
