Their work also contributes to strengthening cybersecurity by uncovering vulnerabilities and enhancing threat detection.

Tasks

Acquire, preserve, and analyse data from digital devices in accordance with forensic standards and chain of custody requirements.

Investigate cybersecurity incidents, including security breaches, malware infections, and data leaks, and support incident response activities.

Collect, examine, and interpret digital evidence related to cyber incidents or crimes involving Information Technology (IT) systems and networks.

Perform specialised forensic analysis of digital and cybersecurity data to determine causes, impacts, and evidential value.

Prepare detailed forensic reports and documentation for internal review and legal proceedings.

Collaborate with legal and compliance teams to ensure proper handling of digital evidence and adherence to regulatory requirements.
