Research Officer Grade Q14 carry out research and development (R&D) tasks, provide expert services, training, consultancy, presentations, and diagnostics (including technical reports, research highlights, and policy briefs).
Tasks
Planning, conducting, and leading research and development projects in biomedicine and health/nuclear technology.
Coordinating the management of research units, divisions, or centres, including project allocations, reporting, leadership, and personnel discipline.
Disseminating research findings through scientific publications, technical reports, policy briefs, research highlights, presentations, and books.
Providing consultancy, training, expertise, lectures, and supervision to local and international officers and students.
Supervising and managing routine, specialised, and outbreak diagnostic work, ensuring quality management and compliance with ISO and international standards.
Ensuring adherence to Biosafety, Biosecurity, research ethics, and Ministry of Health guidelines in all projects and among all personnel under supervision.

Basic
Ability to provide professional opinions and present arguments effectively.
Computer skills.
Specific
Ability to analyse financial statements and related reports.
Ability to conduct professional research, write quality reports, deliver presentations, and publish papers.
Ability to provide training, advisory services, and meet stakeholders’ needs and expectations.
Experience in laboratory work relevant to the field.
