Tasks
The functions and duties for the position of Professor is 40% for research and publication contributions, 20% for teaching and supervision, 20% for recognition and academic leadership, 10% for consultancy, and 10% for service to the university/community.
Contributing to research and publications to expand the body of knowledge and supports more effective teaching activities.
Providing teaching as an official or primary staff responsibility, including supervision of final year projects and practical training.
Participating in academic distinction and leadership activities, including attaining academic awards, evaluating theses, articles, journals for promotion, reviewing papers, participating in academic and professional associations, invited lectures, keynote speeches, appointment as journal editorial board members, and others.
Providing consultancy services within the area of expertise through appointments to resolve specific issues, including paid or unpaid consultancy, and community service projects.
Engaging in service to the university through administrative positions, including Dean/Director, Deputy Dean/Deputy Director, Head of Department, Chairperson, Coordinator, or other roles utilising individual capacity and expertise.
Providing service to the community outside the university, particularly in non-academic fields or activities.
