University Lecturer Grade DS13 responsible for giving lectures, tutorials, conducting research and producing publications, supervising thesis projects, managing practical work, tutorials, and preparing lecture notes/ laboratory manuals, conducting examinations, supervising student practical training work, assisting in reviewing/ preparing curriculum/ syllabus, engaging in research work, and conducting student development efforts.
Tasks
The functions and responsibilities for the position of Senior Lecturer is 20% for research and publication contributions, 50% for teaching and supervision, 5% for academic recognition and leadership, 5% for consultancy, 10% for service to the university, and 10% for service to the community.
Conducting research and publication, including expanding knowledge, contributing to more effective teaching, and publishing academic articles or journals.
Delivering teaching and supervision, including teaching, planning teaching activities, preparing materials, supervising final year projects or industrial training, assessing student performance, and continuously improving the teaching process.
Undertaking academic recognition and leadership, including evaluating theses, articles, journals for promotion, reviewing papers, participating in academic and professional associations, invited lectures, keynote speeches, appointment as journal editorial board members, and others.
Providing consultancy, including services within areas of expertise, paid or unpaid projects, and community service projects.
Providing University service through administrative positions, including Dean/ Director, Deputy Dean/ Deputy Director/ Head of Department/ Chairman/ Coordinator.
Providing university service based on individual capability and expertise.
Providing services to the community, including involvement in non-academic activities outside the university.
