Occupational Safety and Health Adviser plans, implements and manages workplace safety and health programmes to identify, assess and control environmental and occupational hazards that may affect employees’ health and safety. They conduct workplace inspections, risk assessments and incident investigations, and develop policies, procedures and training to prevent injury and disease arising from chemical, physical, biological, radiological and ergonomic risks.

Ability to design and deliver workplace safety and health training programmes.
Competency in emergency response planning and preparedness.
Competency in the development, implementation and auditing of ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management System (OHSMS) and ISO 14001 Environmental Management System (EMS).
Knowledge of Malaysian occupational safety and health laws and regulations.
Proficiency in digital platforms and software for occupational safety data management.
Proficiency in incident investigation and root cause analysis for workplace accidents.
Proficiency in safety audits, workplace risk assessments and risk register management.
