Air Traffic Control Officer Grade A9 responsible for designing and implementing the tasks of providing air traffic services to Malaysian airspace users (FIR Kuala Lumpur and FIR Kota Kinabalu) in accordance with the rules set by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO) and in accordance with the powers given in the Aviation Act Malaysian Civil Aviation (MCAA 1969) and Malaysian Civil Aviation Regulations (MCAR 1996) to always be in a safe and smooth condition.
Tasks
Performing duties in providing and ensuring the availability of communication system and equipment requirements within Malaysian airspace to deliver satisfactory air traffic services.
Identifying and ensuring the provision of requirements for air traffic services such as surveillance systems and air traffic control systems.
Planning and coordinating ATC and non-ATC courses for PKTU/PPKTU and Assistant KTU.
Conducting evaluations of project planning and the preparation of contract documentation.
Responsible for managing Malaysian airspace, including airway planning, airspace classification, and allocation of airspace for air force training and air shows.
Providing air traffic control services within Air Traffic Control Centre sectors by issuing clearances, instructions, advice, and information to aircraft preparing for or conducting flights in order to prevent collisions and minimise delays.
Issuing ATC clearances and SIDs to aircraft intending to depart.
Ensuring that all ATC equipment under control, such as the Data Processing Surveillance Display (DPSD), Flight Data Processing System (FDPS), Voice Switching Communication System (VSCS), and Airfield Ground Lighting (AGL), are in good working condition at all times.
Supervising the implementation of Aerodrome and Surface Movement Control services for all aircraft movements in and out of the airport in accordance with established regulations.
Teaching the courses offered, namely Basic ATC Course, Aerodrome Course, Procedural ATC Course, Surveillance ATC Course, Search and Rescue (SAR) Course, and Non-ATC courses.

Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing in English and Bahasa Melayu.
Ability to deliver clear and authoritative instructions.
