Air Traffic Controller is responsible for managing the safe and orderly movement of aircraft in the air and on the ground. Tasks
Direct aircraft during all phases of flight, ensuring safe separation and orderly flow in controlled airspace.
Monitor radar screens, flight data, and position reports to coordinate take-offs, landings, and in-flight movements.
Communicate essential information to pilots, including weather conditions, flight plans, runway status, and operational updates.
Authorise changes to flight levels, altitudes, routing, and sequencing as necessary to maintain safe and efficient traffic flow.
Direct aircraft movements on the ground, including taxiing, take-offs, and landings, using radar or non-radar procedures.
Coordinate air cargo receiving, dispatch, tracking, documentation, and compliance requirements to support safe and timely operations.
Liaise with airlines, freight forwarders, handling agents, customs, and emergency services to support safe and timely airport and cargo operations.
Respond to emergencies, coordinating search and rescue or other critical interventions.
Maintain accurate operational records, reports, and documentation in compliance with aviation regulations and standards.
