Aircraft Examiner Grade AT14 responsible for performing tasks related to certification, engineering approvals, aircraft manufacturing (including recreational aircraft), flight testing, aircraft registration, airworthiness certification, approval of Air Operator’s Certificates, approval of maintenance organizations, aircraft inspections, and licensing of maintenance engineers.
Tasks
Planning and formulating national Airworthiness policies, standards, and regulatory frameworks.
Ensuring that the department’s roles, responsibilities, and authority in Airworthiness matters are properly controlled and achieved.
Ensuring that the functions and activities of the Airworthiness Division operate smoothly in accordance with established procedures.
Ensuring that Airworthiness requirements and procedures are complied with in line with national and international regulations.
Providing technical expert advisory services to the Department, the national aviation industry, and foreign agencies.
Maintaining liaison with other divisions within the Department and with civil aviation organisations domestically and internationally regarding Airworthiness requirements, practices, and regulations.
Representing the Department in discussions on bilateral Airworthiness/Aviation Safety Memoranda of Understanding between Malaysia and other countries.
Providing expert services and advicing in aircraft accident investigations.
Performing duties as directed by senior officers.
Skills
Basic
Ability to communicate effectively in English both verbally and in writing.
Ability to plan tasks effectively and perform work efficiently.
Good personality and ability to act professionally, especially when dealing with customers.
Specific
Ability to write accurate and high-quality reports.
Experience as a flight instructor.
Proficiency in computer usage.
