Aircraft Examiner Grade AT12 responsible for performing tasks related to certification, engineering approvals, aircraft manufacturing (including recreational aircraft), flight testing, aircraft registration, airworthiness certification, approval of Air Operator’s Certificates, approval of maintenance organizations, aircraft inspections, and licensing of maintenance engineers.
Tasks
Assisting in planning and formulating standards, policies, directives, and Airworthiness reference materials.
Planning and scheduling activities for assessment, approval, and supervision of organisations related to airworthiness, such as design organisations, manufacturing organisations, maintenance organisations, and training organisations.
Ensuring that aircraft designs comply with FAR, JAR, BCAR standards, or DCA-recognised standards.
Overseeing the manufacturing and assembly of recreational aircraft to ensure work complies with approved documents, design plans/drawings, and manufacturing processes, and subsequently issues Flight Permits.
Issuing approvals to organisations and personnel for the manufacturing, assembly, and inspection of recreational aircraft.
Ensuring that equipment installed on aircraft meets DCA-recognised standards, and validating foreign aircraft designs for import and operation in Malaysia.
Ensuring that requirements and procedures related to aircraft maintenance support aircraft operations in accordance with DCA-established standards.
Supervising civil aviation organisations regarding aircraft engineering and maintenance through coordination of quality assurance control of these aviation organisations.
Providing technical expertise and advisory services in aircraft systems to other units within the Airworthiness Division, the DCA, and the industry.
Participating in aircraft accident investigations.
Skills
Basic

Ability to write accurate and high-quality reports.
Experience as a flight instructor.
