Aircraft Examiner Grade AT9 responsible for performing tasks related to certification, engineering approvals, aircraft manufacturing (including recreational aircraft), flight testing, aircraft registration, airworthiness certification, approval of Air Operator’s Certificates, approval of maintenance organizations, aircraft inspections, and licensing of maintenance engineers.

Tasks

Identifying airworthiness standards and requirements.

Inspecting and examining the physical condition of general aviation aircraft for the issuance and renewal of Airworthiness Certificates.

Ensuring that aircraft are maintained and repaired in accordance with the standards prescribed by the DCA.

Inspecting and approving modifications to aircraft, equipment, and its components.

Regulating organisations involved in aircraft maintenance and repair, including the equipment and components used by air operators.

Determining that assessments of Airworthiness Directives, Service Bulletins, Service Letters, and other related documents are conducted.

Developing and drafting Airworthiness Directives for Malaysian-manufactured aircraft and equipment, as well as foreign-manufactured aircraft registered in Malaysia.

Inspecting and approving aircraft and equipment manufacturing organisations, and subsequently issuing Production Organisation Approval Certificates.

Receiving, reviewing, and approving applications for the issuance of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer Licenses for all categories.

Conducting investigations into aircraft and equipment failures and taking appropriate corrective actions.
