Maintain accurate shipping records and transaction documentation for auditing and compliance purposes.
Resolve shipment delays, discrepancies, and scheduling issues promptly.
Negotiate shipping rates with freight carriers and recommend cost-effective shipping arrangements.
Evaluate freight carrier performance and recommend improvements to shipping and logistics processes.
Represent the ship owner in foreign ports and oversee insurance, licensing, and other required formalities.

Competency in coordinating logistics activities with internal departments, freight forwarders, and service providers.
Knowledge of International Commercial Terms (Incoterms), freight terms, customs procedures, and Harmonised System (HS) codes in shipping operations.
Knowledge of shipping regulations, customs requirements, and documentation standards for import and export operations.
Proficiency in preparing and processing shipping documentation for local and international shipments, including customs and trade documents.
Proficiency in using shipment tracking and logistics monitoring systems.
Proficiency in using shipping systems and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, such as SAP or Oracle, to manage shipping processes.
