Marine Superintendent (Deck) oversees and manages marine operations for a fleet of vessels, ensuring safe, efficient, and regulation-compliant operations. The role includes conducting inspections and audits, maintaining vessel performance and seaworthiness, managing safety and operational protocols, and ensuring adherence to schedules and cost efficiency. They also serve as the primary link between shipboard personnel and shore-based management to facilitate smooth communication and operations.

Tasks

Ensure vessels comply with international and local maritime regulations and are prepared for inspections and audits.

Liaise with ship captains to enforce company policies and safety procedures.

Oversee navigational safety and vessel operations to ensure safe and efficient fleet performance.

Review and update safety management systems to ensure compliance with operational standards.

Monitor crew readiness and certification compliance, and support training coordination as required.

Coordinate dry-docking, repairs, and maintenance to maintain vessel seaworthiness and operational readiness.

Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions as required.

Evaluate vessel performance and recommend improvements to enhance operational efficiency.

Maintain accurate vessel records and statutory documentation for compliance, inspections, and audits.

Coordinate ship safety, operational matters, and communication between vessels and shore-based management to ensure smooth operations.
