Agricultural Officer Grade G9 responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating Department of Agriculture’s programmes as well as providing Agricultural and Agro-Business Technical consultancy services as well as the enforcement of the Plants Act 1976 and 1981 for investors from within and outside the country. Tasks
Implementing and supervising the Development, Consultancy, and Agro-Based Industry Programmes at unit, state, and district levels.
Planning and monitoring the implementation of promotion and marketing activities for agricultural products and processed agricultural outputs.
Conducting technology verification, technology promotion, and premises inspections for paddy, industrial crops, floriculture, and apiculture.
Providing consultancy services and technical advice in agricultural harvesting/post-harvest/processing/design/fabrication engineering.
Planning and implementing enforcement of the Pesticides Act 1974, including pesticide registration, advertisement, and inspection of premises selling or storing pesticides.
Coordinating the procurement of agricultural vehicles and machinery at state level, covering specification preparation, acquisition, distribution, usage, maintenance, repair, and disposal.
Monitoring the progress of new applications and updates/prepares reports for Malaysian Good Agricultural Practices Scheme (SALM) and the Malaysian Organic Scheme (SOM) certification.
Preparing and reviewing information on annual federal-level agricultural development project planning.
Implementing officer training programmes, seminars, internal and international courses, and manages scholarships, trainee recruitment, and placement.
