Information Systems Manager is responsible for the secure, efficient, and strategic management of an organisation’s information systems, including hardware, software, networks, and digital infrastructure. The manager oversees the planning, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems, ensuring alignment with business objectives, operational efficiency, data integrity, and cybersecurity. This role involves managing an IT team, budgets, and technology projects, leading digital transformation initiatives, and establishing governance frameworks to support innovation, regulatory compliance, and organisational growth.

Tasks

Develop and implement information technology (IT) and management information systems (MIS) strategies, policies, and procedures aligned with organisational objectives.

Direct and manage IT operations, including hardware, software, communication systems, and data processing activities.

Lead and manage IT staff, including recruitment, training, performance monitoring, and project coordination.

Oversee system upgrades, maintenance, and integration to ensure reliable and efficient IT system performance.

Manage IT budgets, expenditures, and resource allocation.

Ensure data security, regulatory compliance, and implementation of cybersecurity measures.

Lead IT development and digital transformation projects, monitoring progress, timelines, and quality standards.

Coordinate with internal departments and external vendors to meet IT and ICT requirements.

Develop and implement IT support services, disaster recovery, and business continuity strategies.

Evaluate and recommend new technologies and process improvements to enhance organisational efficiency.
