Tasks

Load raw timber or veneer materials into machines and remove finished products.
Monitor machine operations and adjust settings to maintain quality and production standards.
Inspect wood, veneer sheets, and core layers for defects or inconsistencies and ensure adherence to quality control measures.
Operate drying equipment to dry veneer sheets as required.
Assemble and layer veneers accurately to form plywood cores, ensuring correct dimensions and alignment.
Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and basic troubleshooting of machines to prevent downtime.
Follow safety procedures, wear appropriate protective gear, and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Use measuring instruments to check dimensions, area, and other specifications.
Assist with inventory management of raw materials and finished wood products.
