They programme and adjust CNC equipment, control machining parameters such as speed and cutting depth, monitor production processes, and carry out quality checks to ensure accuracy and consistency. They also perform routine maintenance and basic troubleshooting to maintain efficient and reliable machine operation.

Tasks

Set up, program, and operate Computer Numerical Control and industrial machines to produce parts according to specifications.

Read and interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and machine manuals.

Perform quality control checks on finished products.

Inspect, test, and service Computer Numerical Control and industrial machinery for proper operation and compliance with standards.

Troubleshoot and resolve mechanical and technical issues.

Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of machines and equipment.

Replace defective or worn machine components.

Keep detailed records of machine operations, maintenance, and repairs.
