Islamic Affairs Assistant Grade S1
Islamic Affairs Assistant Grade S1 responsible for assisting in the smooth conduct of activities at mosques/surau, including mosque administrative management, the five daily prayers, and the organisation of programmes, lectures, tazkirah, and talks. Receive instructions and carry out duties in the areas of family development, enforcement of Syariah Law, and Islamic outreach (dakwah).
Tasks
Updating prayer and call-to-prayer (azan) schedules and performs the azan and iqamat punctually.
Leading the five daily prayers according to the rotation schedule as directed by the Chief Imam/Director.
Preparing the Friday and Eid sermon texts and delivers religious reminders (tazkirah).
Assisting in managing the appointment and dismissal of mosque committees and the administration of cemetery lands.
Maintaining cleanliness, security of property, and facilities of the mosque/surau, including monitoring contractors.
Assisting in matters relating to marriage, divorce, reconciliation, and individual/family counselling sessions.
Enforcing Syariah laws, including patrols, intelligence gathering, executing search warrants, and attending court as a witness.
Managing the process of conversion to Islam, registration of new Muslim converts, Fardhu Ain classes, and strengthening of faith (aqidah).
Assisting in organising various programmes for the dissemination of Islamic knowledge within the community.
