They work across various sectors, including market research, government, and social programmes, using methods such as face-to-face, telephone, or online interviews to ensure accurate, timely, and confidential data collection. The information they gather supports research studies, policy development, and business decisions.

Tasks

Prepare and organise survey materials, questionnaires, and respondent lists.

Contact respondents and arrange interviews by telephone, in person, or online.

Conduct interviews in accordance with survey guidelines, scripts, and sampling procedures.

Ask questions clearly and provide clarification to help respondents understand the survey.

Record responses accurately in paper forms or electronic data collection systems.

Check completed questionnaires or records for completeness, accuracy, and consistency.

Maintain confidentiality of respondent information and ensure data integrity throughout the survey process.

Submit completed survey forms, records, and fieldwork updates to supervisors according to procedures.

Perform routine administrative and survey support tasks as required.
